Monteverde cloud forest
This is the most important cloud forest area of Costa Rica, located at the highlands of Puntarenas and Alajuela provinces. In 1972, the scientists George Powell and Wilford Guindon created the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. This place is the natural habitat of one of the most beautiful birds of the world “the Resplendent Quetzal,” but also this place is the home of Pumas, Tiras, Ocelots, Tucans, Coatis, Raccoons, and three of the four species of monkeys we have in Costa Rica are there. But Monteverde offers their visitors the opportunity to enjoy its lush green forest in different ways like hikes in trails, beautiful walks in the sky by the hanging bridges, or why not conquer the sky on a zip line.

Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve Reserve and Zipline Tour:
The tour includes activities:
- Pick up at Jaco Town at 7:00 am.
Optional Stop at Tarcoles Bridge to see the crocodiles from the top: This is just a quick stop at this place. The group is available to have an easy walk on the walk side of this bridge; you will be able to take wonderful pictures of the amazing crocodiles from the top of this bridge.
- Optional Stop at El Jardin to grab Breakfast to go (on your own).
- Visit Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve or Curichacha Reserve: You have two options to take a soft hike in Monteverde. In this activity, the guide will explain the main differences of this type of forest and the different species of plants and animals you will be able to spot over there. You will learn why is so important to preserve this endangered type of forest for humanity and wildlife as well. This activity normally takes around two hours.
- Lunchtime at the town. Part of this tour is to introduce you to the local culture of Monteverde, so our lunchtime will be at a very popular costarican cuisine restaurant downtown.
- Time for the adventure and conquer the sky at the very exciting zipline tour. We provide you with the safest and coolest zipline tour in Monteverde; this one will include three exciting extra activities for those brave ones; rappelling, the famous Superman zipline style, and the crazy Tarzan swing jump. These are optional activities already included in your package.
6. Time to go back home; nevertheless, we have the chance to stop at Santa Elena downtown as an optional activity if you want to shop in some of the places around and then hit the road back home.
7. Arrival is expected at Jaco downtown at 6:00 pm.
